Well How Did He Do It?!
I started my journey in the same place you are right now. If you are reading this then you are searching for a real way to change your life. All the modern methods for changing your body based on protein shakes, calorie restricted diets and a gym membership has done little for you. When you go to the gym, is everyone there looking like you want to look? Do the trainers even look that healthy!?
It’s just not your fault that this system has failed you. It was not designed to bring you lasting change. It was designed to keep you where you are and keep taking your money. Do you ever feel that way?
A couple years ago I was 240 pounds. I was very overweight and sick from poor lifestyle choices. I was almost 30% body fat, tired all the time and the confidence I had in my youth had vanished. I had to find a way out of my predicament. I had to find a way back to that youthful spirit and body. I needed to change my outlook on life from the inside out. Doesn’t that sound familiar?
After a little searching, I found the methods above. I tried calorie restriction. I at less than 2000 calories a day for months… Nothing… I tried going to the gym twice a day… Nothing… What was I doing wrong?!
Being an engineer, I decided to do some research. I read everything I could find on modern weightless studies, the obesity epidemic, the increase in diabetes. After a few months of searching, it hit me like a bag of bricks – I had to live like our ancestors did. Like nature built me to live.
Superhuman University was created to teach you the methods of intermittent fasting, a fat based diet and a humanistic approach to exercise. We have spent a lot of time and money making this program; the last program you will ever undertake for long-lasting health. The picture above is my progress over 6 months. The first 3 months I lost 30 pounds! But along with this weight loss, a focus on muscle gain gave me the chiseled body you see now. It’s crucial to lose fat and gain muscle at the same time.
Now I teach others this method. Let me emphasize TEACH. I want you to experience the change with me and give you the skills to do this same transformation again if you ever find yourself in the same situation. Or perhaps you can change someone else’s life the same way you changed yours.

We all yearn to be the best versions of ourselves. The most elusive belief is that the world as we see it is set in stone. Our customs, the way we think, what we eat, when we eat, our religions, our monetary systems, all seem to be rigid. We inherited them from our predecessor is a way that is new to this planet. Now we feel compelled to fit into a box designed by our antecedents. We are confined, or so it would seem, by antiquated logic and practices.
A couple years ago I found myself overweight and unhappy. My only reprieve from the dark clouds of discontent was found at the end of the day in more than a couple shots of tequila accompanied by the normal accoutrement of Chez-Its and pizza. Sound familiar? Oh – I’d throw in the occasional salad as well – don’t get me wrong. I bought into the calorie myth. The misconception that I needed two thousand calories a day and that the content of those calories did not matter. When I tried to find a way to lose weight or feel better, I turned to salads (which can only last so long) and the effects never manifested in a physical change. Along with alcohol, I had a rotating bathroom pharmacy. Any color or flavor you could think of, I had. I was so sure that this was the way to live: “Make sure you hit the gym, occasional salads, two thousand calories a day, protein shakes, and a reasonable amount of alcohol”. If this was the ticket, why did I feel so bad all the time?
Around my thirty-eighth birthday, I was getting geared up for a celebration. A celebration involving myself, a fifth of tequila and a bunch of tacos. Yessir! I was almost set. As per usual, I was headed to the gym for my daily workout. I would never miss a day. I felt that I could get away with anything as long as I have that routine. Heavy weight – no cardio – no stretching. On my stroll to the gym, I get a call from my sister. Apparently, I had started my celebration the previous evening and when my sister called, she found me in a drunken stupor. I had a litany of different substance in my system, and I was barely making sense. She called to tell me something specific. She said that I was sick. She said she had never seen me so sick. I, of course, was pissed. How dare she tell me I was less than perfect!? I had a job! I went to the gym! I had a beautiful fiancé! What did she know!? It is difficult to hear news like that from someone in your circle. It was a voice of reason that I did not want to acknowledge.
Well, it didn’t take long for that glittering little angle and smoldering devil on my shoulder to start whispering in my ear. The next few days were decision time for me. When I stepped back and looked at my life, I could tell that I was sick. My body was fat. My face looked swollen and tired. I didn’t care like I used to. I had this picture in my living room of me and my siblings when we were in college. I could hardly recognize myself anymore. What happened to me? Could I get back?
As is my modus operandi, I decided to cut out all drinking and drugs. I started with pharmaceuticals. I was taking a hand full of whatever I could find every day. Lots of pain killers and benzodiazepines. I do not recommend the cold turkey route for those kinds of drug.
The next few weeks were the most painful of my life. I could not sleep for starters. I laid in bed all night in cold sweats. Then the tremors started. I couldn’t control my arms or legs. They shook for days. I almost had a seizure while shopping for food. I tell you friend – I’ve never felt like that in my life. I thought I had done irreparable damage to my body and mind. Weeks went by and I was starting to come out of the fog. I was drinking some during that time in hopes of calming my body; although in hindsight I should have stopped that immediately too.
Next up was drinking. I remember taking the last drink I would ever have and dumping the rest down the drain. Drinking must be the most pernicious and damaging custom of our society. We give that drug carte blanche.
I don’t like sharing this part of the story. Very few people know this about me, but I feel you should know where I started. Perhaps you are not encumbered by such bad habits. Good! Your work will be easier than mine!
Now that I was rid of those vices that had kept me bereft; how was I going to undo this damage? I needed a real method. I’m analytical by nature so I needed a formula. As all good engineers do, I set out to understand the machinery of my body. I researched macros, calorie reduction, cardio methods, and the like. I bought books on endocrinology and body systems. I read everything I could find on the obesity epidemic. I earned certificates in personal training and fitness. I wanted to understand how I could really get back to who I was or better.
Over the next few years, I carved out a system that creates a magnificent physic, a clear and powerful mind, a future that is bright and full of opportunity. A real way to enjoy this very moment. Physical training methods, philosophy, reading, meditation, and fasting are the base of this program. Superhuman University is the name of the program because to does create a superhuman version of you. We focus on the mind, body, beliefs, habits and making a new future full of goals derived from your aspirations. Join me in making a better you.
